Dussehra Procession In The Streets Of Prayagraj

A tableau with artists portraying Lords Rama and Lakshamana goes through the streets of Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj in a procession before the Hindu festival of Dussehra. In the Hindu epic Ramayana, Lord Rama killed the demon King of Lanka Ravana and the day is celebrated as Dussehra festival. In the festival, effigies of Ravana are burnt across the country as a symbolic victory of goodness over evil. The Dussehra is being celebrated this year on Wednesday.
