Tell us about your role in Tum Mile.
I play a girl working in South Africa. The film revolves around the intimate love story of the two characters that Emraan and I play.
A lot of people find your pairing with Emraan Hashmi unconventional.
Emraan’s and my films are different. But it is an interesting blending that adds elements of our own personalities to our characters. It was insightful on Kunal Deshmukh’s (the director) part.
How different was it shooting...the film is set during the 2005 Mumbai cloudburst?
It’s a very difficult film to shoot logistically. We had to shoot for long hours in cold, filthy water; then there were scary underwater sequences.
What aspect of 26/7 does Tum Mile capture?
We have borrowed from real-life stories. People can relate to the film, their memories of 26/7 will come back.
The film used the concept of 3-D paintings.
