Suffolk Russel Page: As I sat in Addenbrooke’s hospital yesterday, receiving chemotherapy, I saw your picture of the Homerton surgical team proudly showing that they were immigrants. When I looked around my own ward, it was clear that virtually all the medical staff were of immigrant origin. I could not have been more grateful for their care and attention. If only Nigel Farage could have seen it.

Just as with the Monica Lewinsky scandal, we will line up in support, because what else can a Democrat do? If the unfortunate choice remains Clinton or Trump, she is the only choice. I, for one, am tired after 24 years of def­ending the Clintons.
