  •  Over 11,000 Ambedkar villages have been identified for development. The scheme was started in 1990-91. During the last three months, about Rs 200 crore have been spent on Ambedkar village development.
  •  Distribution of land deeds by the Revenue Department for Dalits, under which the low caste landless are entitled to get back land under dispute, particularly village or gram sabha land.
  •  Twenty five per cent Station House Officers (SHOs) at police stations in Uttar Pradesh will be reserved for Dalit officers.
  •  A Rs 100-crore Ambedkar Park in Lucknow, money for which was declined by the state finance department but was withdrawn from the Contingency Fund by the chief minister.

  •  In memory of social reformers like Ambedkar, a gigantic square is being constructed in the heart of Lucknow.
  •  Creation of three commissionaries, eight districts and 12 tehsils named after Gautama Buddha and his family, Jyotiba Phule and Shahuji Maharaj.
  •  Setting up the Dr Ambedkar Award.
  •  Under a scheme named after Ambedkar, marriage allowances for Dalit girls has been doubled.
