Kya Super Kool Hain Hum makes its prequel, Kya Kool Hain Hum, seem like Citizen Kane by comparison. Directed by Sangeeth Sivan, KKHH might have been considered too raunchy for family viewing, but it did at least have its comic timing quite in place. Sachin Yardi’s KSKHH, unfortunately, is more a dull and dreary borefest than the laugh-a-minute sex comedy it aims to be. The action is centred on a failed actor Adi (Tushar), who does C-grade ads to make money and his DJ pal Sid (Riteish). There’s also Suckru, Sid’s dog with tremendous stamina for you know what and a baba called 3G.

The movie kicks off with extremely boring, long stretches paying obeisance to Rohit Shetty and Ekta Kapoor and then shifts vistas to Goa. There is no story to talk of but some downright silly jokes of the following variety: Mrs Godrej is cool because she makes refrigerators. There is also some bad wordplay on ‘vet and wet’, ‘disc and dick’ and ‘pussy and macho’. An eating joint is called ‘La Whore Da Dhaba’. Cue for audiences to laugh? Not quite. Yes there are attempts to titillate and crack risque jokes but KSKHH remains more juvenile than adult. How long can we laugh at women’s bosoms being called “twin towers” and “do anmol rattan”? Or get all giggly at references to the figure 69? Beyond a point, KSKHH gets extremely tiresome and irritating. I had to sit through it to write this review. You can give it a skip.
