What's your overview of Zimbabwe?
They're obviously not as strong as Australia but they're a tenacious lot. We're not complacent.

Anything about them that worries you?
They are formidable at home.

And India's record overseas isn't very impressive.
That wouldn't bother me much. We'll simply play good cricket.

Will this series complete your understanding of the Indian team in any way?
Yes. This is a chance for me to watch our speedsters play in overseas conditions.

Any department where they are clearly ahead of us?
Fielding, obviously.

Are you fully satisfied with this Indian team?
Yes. I can say that.

Will you miss Anil Kumble?
Yes, but I do hope Harbhajan Singh strikes again like he did recently.

Are you thinking about the new World Test Championship?
Very much. I think it's a good idea. And we'd like to earn some early points.

Are you worried about an old criticism that we play too much cricket?
Can't help that these days. In fact, we've a busy season ahead of us.

How do you react to the Board's plan to bring a contract system?
I cannot comment because that's not my area of expertise.
