"JD Is Mine, I'm Its Watchman"

Where will this tussle between two Yadavs lead the party?

Why are you adamant on having the party convention in Patna ?
I’m a straightforward person. Being all-India president isn’t all. There are so many big leaders sitting in Delhi who might want to (head JD). But if they avoid Bihar, hate Bihar...the people will understand. They’re surviving because of Bihar.

But Shared has always defended you in the fodder scam.
I don’t need anybody’s kripa. Didn’t I support him in the hawala case? And what chaara ghotala? I detected treasury loot in Bihar myself.

Why has Shared become your foe suddenly?
Even Shahjahan was arrested by his own son. Sharad is not alone. People who consider me their enemy must have coaxed him. The fact is, they’re not loyal to him also. Some outside enemies and pocketmaar (pickpockets) have crept in, but JD is mine and I’m its watchman.

Do you think Shared nurses an ambition to be PM?
Maybe. Har aadmi doosre ki chaati laangh kar aage badh jana chaahta hai (they alluse you as a launchpad). When Advani was framed in hawala, the whole BJP worker to leader-stood by him. This is how a parivar is made.

Deve Gowda has thrown his weight behind Shared.
Yes. Till yesterday, he was an archenemy of Sharad. Now he’s became a friend. I don’t understand these things. I made him (PM), but he doesn’t feel obliged.

So, what’s the moral of the story ?
Jinko mein dost banaata hoon, voh hi mere dushman ho jaate hein. jab meri aankh khulti hai, tab tak der ho jaati hai (the very people I cherish as friends become foes. By the time reallsation dawns on me, it’s always too late). I’ll take care in future.
