Gurgaon is waking up to celluloid dreams. Starved of arts and entertainment options for years now, Delhi’s suburban town is getting ready for a multiplex boom—coming up first is the DLF group’s DT cinema. "You can now have the best in entertainment without spending too much money in going for movies to Delhi," says the dlf’s Pia Singh. With an investment of Rs 150 crore over a year, it has also imported its projection system from Christie, a UK-based company. The PVR group too is in the race with its soon-to-be-launched seven-screen multiplex in Metropolitan Mall. And that’s really big: PVR Metropolitan will be the largest PVR multiplex till date. The upcoming multiplexes also house shopping complexes, malls and restaurants. So before the show begins, raise a toast to the stars. The party has only just begun.
