The facts that tumbled out after Abdul Karim Telgi, the kingpin of the stamp paper scam, was put in a near "hypnotic trance" after a stiff dose of the "truth serum", have surpassed the most fantastic of imaginations. Telgi said during the narco-analysis that he could establish his racket because of the vendor’s licence he got in ’94, thanks to SP MLA Anil Gote and ex-CM Vilasrao Deshmukh. Telgi also said that he paid Chhagan Bhujbal to get his work done. Meanwhile, lawyers are debating whether the results of a truth-serum test can be produced as evidence. The sit, on its part, has summoned both Bhujbal and Deshmukh for interrogation.
