Netbook: noun A small, inexpensive, portable computer for network applications. Example: Jeet mostly uses computers for e-mail and web and a netbook works for him.

Unfriend: verb To remove someone from one's friends list on an online social network, such as Facebook. Example: After they had a fight, Neeta unfriended her longtime chum.

26/11: noun Terror attacks in Mumbai on November 26, 2008. A major event that jolts a country, an organisation, or a person. Example: After his wife left him and he got laid off from his job on the same day, Sunil felt it was his 26/11.

Birther: noun One who promoted conspiracy theories about US President Obama not having been born in the US, and thus not being eligible for the highest post of the country. Anyone who spreads unfounded claims. Example: Don't believe that birther! He is the one who says Gandhi secretly wanted India to be split into two.

Carbon Footprint: noun The environmental impact of a person, organisation, or a particular activity. Example: Dinesh started cycling to work to reduce his carbon footprint
