Last week has been one of celebrations. At our own Outlook Saptahik party, the star hit was none other than CEC J.M. Lyngdoh. An eminent Hindi writer even went up to him and told him he was his hero... It’s also time to welcome back a luminary. Writer-activist Arundhati Roy returned from her international travels. She was in Europe lending support to the anti-war movement against Iraq...Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is also on a comeback. After staying away from work and festival-hopping across the globe, Aamir has finally given the nod to the role of revolutionary Mangal Pandey in The Rising. The film’s being produced by Bobby Bedi, has been written by Farrokh Dhondy and will be directed by Ketan Mehta... What happens to Salman Khan’s international project now that his hit-and-run case is getting curiouser? We are told that he still figures in the cast-list of Marigold...Last fortnight’s Jack Daniels party in Mumbai proved very eventful courtesy Star TV head honcho Peter Mukherjea. It’s here that he formally introduced his fiancee to the world. The lady’s name is Indrani Khanna.
