The inauguration of the Afro-Asian games in Hyderabad looked like a mega event if Doordarshan visuals are anything to go by. It probably also showcased Chandrababu Naidu as a successful event manager. But the city municipal corporation, left to clean up the mess, isn’t cheering. Orders from the CM was that the garbage—and there was a mountain of it—was to be cleared before 6 am the next day. Additional trucks, manpower were pressed into service to cart away the garbage.
