Hindumalkot, a small hamlet on the Indo-Pak border in Rajasthan, is the Shiv Sena’s latest playground. The Sena brought in Suniel Shetty—remembered here for his role as a bsf officer who rescued border villagers from Pakistani fire in Border—and Bollywood director Mahesh Manjrekar to open their shakha in the dusty hamlet. Shetty says he went for the opening only for old friends Uddhav Thackeray and Sanjay Nirupam’s sake. Says Sena’s Rajya Sabha MP Nirupam: "They (the villagers) have been suffering from the worst of Pakistan’s firing and being saffronised will help them." Nirupam says two more border shakhas will open near Barmer and Jaisalmer after the assembly polls.
