On Air With AIB

Rating: **

They’ve been taking potshots online but stand-up group AIB (All India Bakchod) are now being seen primetime on Star World and Star Plus, in English and Hindi respectively. Less risque and arguably less funny, they’ve had to go easy on the cuss and tone down the tenor for a mainstream audience. Every episode has a theme, from problems like lack of public spaces to the police and even ISIS. Not since Shekhar Suman in Movers and Shakers and The Week That Wasn’t by Cyrus Broacha has a show done run-downs of the politicos as well though. The Hindi version guarantees more laughs and the jokes hit home better.

Fitbit Charge HR

Rating: ***

The latest member of the Fitbit family is the Fitbit Charge HR—a fitness band with a heart-rate monitor. The watch pairs with your phone via Bluetooth, and the sleek OLED screen is an easy watch. Charge HR has only one button—the first click shows time, the second steps, the third distance covered and the last calories burnt. A three-second press starts an activity period and the heart rate monitor knows when you’re asleep—it can’t get simpler. The device is a little chunky, and the device can get a little laggy sometimes when switching screens.
