A Tongue-Tied Fan
Prime Minister A.B. Vajpayee encountered an unknown admirer of his during his recent visit to Bhopal. It was in ’86 that Sunderlal Vishwakarma had taken a vow of silence which he decided to keep till he met ‘PM’ Vajpayee. A bachelor like his icon, Vishwakarma, 75, lost the use of both his legs after an accident. An inhabitant of Ghansore village in MP’s Seoni district, ‘Mauni Baba’ Vishwakarma met MP chief minister Uma Bharati at one of her janata darbars where his nephew apprised her of his uncle’s vow. The CM promptly promised him an audience with Vajpayee. Vishwakarma met the PM at the residence of Anoop Mishra—Vajpayee’s nephew and the MP minister for culture and water resources—and ended his vow with "Jai Shri Ram."
