Sunrisers Hyderabad made mincemeat of Royal Challengers Bangalore in match 36 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday. After dismissing Faf du Plessis & Co for the sixth-lowest IPL total (68 all out) on the fifth-year anniversary of RCB's 49 all out, SRH cantered to a nine-wicket win with 12 overs to spare. And the stars of the show, or the horror show depending on the perspective, were pacers, Marco Jansen and T Natarajan. Both the SRH pacers claimed three wickets each. Virat Kohli, Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik were dismissed for ducks, while two RCB batters reached the double-figure marks -- 12 and 15 for Glenn Maxwell and Suyash Prabhudessai respectively.

Young opener Abhishek Sharma then played a good knock of 47 runs as SRH made a quick work of the chase. The win helped Kane Williamson & Co move to the second spot (10 points - five wins and two defeats) in the IPL 2022 points table. Earlier in the day, debutants Gujarat Titans continued to set the pace with another thrilling win, this time beating two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders by eight runs. That's five straight wins for Hyderabad. RCB, despite the big defeat, are fourth with 10 points (five wins and two defeats).
