Adivasis don’t fall into the lingual traps of modernity. In their philosophical tradition, they are more realistic and scientific than any society
Tribal sportspersons have amazing talent. They are devoted and have high endurance. They are comfortable playing even on the hottest days without losing their spirit
The Gandhian philosophy holds that morality is a holy divine system, which a person experiences naturally and internally on his own. This moral awakening arises from sensing divinity.
Contrary to what upper caste activists tend to project, Adivasis can negotiate with the Indian state on their own terms
The assertion of an Adivasi identity has stonewalled the Sangh Parivar’s project in Jharkhand to incorporate Adivasis into the larger Hindu fold
India won six medals on the final day of Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 Monday to finish fourth in the overall standings behind Australia (178), England (176), and Canada (92). Star paddler Achanta Sharath Kamal and world champion boxer Nikhat Zareen have been named India's flagbearers during the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2022. The 40-year-old Sharath has a rich haul of four medals in this edition of the Games, having won the men's team and mixed team gold and a silver in the men's doubles event. He will also be playing in the men's singles gold medal match later in the day. Zareen, on the other hand, won the gold medal in the light flyweight event (50kg) on Sunday. Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu and men's hockey captain Manpreet Singh were the flagbearers for the opening ceremony.
Michelle Li is not here to throw it away. After Sindhu led 4-2 at one stage, the Canadian is giving the Indian a tough time at 7-7. However, Sindhu won the next two points to lead 9-7 at this moment.
