A horse, part of Britain’s King Charles’ coronation procession, went out of control and rammed into a crowd of bystanders along The Mall in London, a viral video showed. The incident happened while King Charles was headed back to Buckingham Palace following the coronation ceremony.
The video, which has garnered nearly 400,000 views on Twitter so far, shows the horse veering off the line of march and colliding with the crowd-control barrier. Security guards can be seen trying to bring the horse back into the line. No injuries were reported in the incident.
“It’s what happens when they get spooked by demons,” wrote a user in the comments under the video on Twitter, while other users joked about how the horse could be “possessed” by the spirit of Queen Elizabeth II or Princess Diana.

On Saturday, Charles III became the 40th British monarch to be crowned at Westminster Abbey here at a spectacular ceremony rich in religious significance, history, pageantry and displaying a multi-faith outlook and his love for India and the wider Commonwealth. Charles’ coronation was reminiscent of that of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, 70 years ago.
It comes eight months after he presumed the throne following her death.
The 74-year-old was formally crowned King of the United Kingdom when the Archbishop of Canterbury concluded the religious ceremony by inviting the 2,200-strong congregation and millions watching worldwide to swear allegiance to the new British Sovereign.

His wife, Camilla Rosemary Shand, who he married in 2005, is now known as Queen Camilla in keeping with royal tradition. Notably, the 75-year-old was wearing a dress designed by a woman from a village in West Bengal’s Hooghly district. She also designed the brooch Kin Charles was wearing during the ceremony.
The designer received a letter from the Royal family thanking her and inviting her to attend the coronation ceremony on Saturday.
