Ladies Night

Our first lady Gursharan Kaur stood out, elegant and graceful in her silks amid the spouses at the G-20 summit in Pittsburgh. With Michelle Obama, the hostess, they dined on a farm and watched performances at the Creative and Performing Arts School downtown. All in all, it was a grand visit, all smiles and resolutions to meet up sometime soon and keep up the spirit.

Sugarfree Spirit

The bongs of Bollywood came together to worship the goddess Durga at various pandals. There was the half-Bengali Abhishek Bachchan who partook of the rituals and left quickly before the crowds descended. In Juhu, Rani Mukherjee turned up in traditional attire. Her cousin Kajol was there too, distributing bhog and tempting Rani (the latest weight-loss icon) with gulabjamuns. Ah! come on, diet another day...

Run for Cover

The two-film-old daughter of Anil Kapoor, Sonam, has emerged the best dressed Indian celeb according to People magazine. Gracing the cover in electric blue, the actress launched the latest issue in Delhi recently, grinning ear-to ear.

Guru Cool

Lara Dutta, the former beauty queen, made her point at the launch of Italian brand Guru. As the showstopper in white knee-length pants, she was cheered. The attention, of course, was reserved for superstar Salman Khan.
