The Epic Returns

The Mumbai Oberoi is reborn. Amid all the luxurious ambience and the Indian charm, the hotel now has tighter security. Memories of 26/11 have been wiped clean, but the stories of the ten hotel employees and 22 others who fell prey to the terrorist bullets lingers on. CM Ashok Chavan did the inaugural honours. Also seen here, Rajya Sabha MP N.K. Singh (left) and P.R.S. Oberoi, chairman, Oberoi Group.

Causerati Inc

The heady cocktail of glamour, politics and charity...that’s Payal Abdullah’s fundraising charity ball for her NGO, Rahat. Samaritans and generous do-gooders were in full attendance at New Delhi’s Taj Palace. All’s fair in love and charity.

It’s undeniable that profound cogitation has its uses for Yuvraj Singh: his dismal batting at the IPL, protestations of earnest endeavour, the faintest glimmer of past fecundity, and then the slow asphyxiation in the hills. Unfortunately, the only thought probably clouding his mind at the IPL Awards Night was how to match steps with the out-of-work Neha Dhupia.

No Dumb Belle

Another of those B-town bombshells, Sherlyn Chopra, is the
latest entrant in the halls of notoriety. Her close encounter with a shirtless Chris Gayle at an IPL party is being talked about in faraway Caribbean. The KKR poster gal may not be able to tell a hook from a square cut, but she sure knows her game, hmmm?
