I have gone through the audio. It's less about COVID-19 mismanagement as the treated person admits that he was given vitamin capsules and healthy food while being treated. He also admitted that people with cold/fever symptoms were given azithromycin and paracetamol at the hospital. Given that no full proof vaccine has yet been developed, who is to decide the method of treatment? Are any of the persons or even the editorial member of the concerned website a doctor to judge the method of treatment? So far, boosting immunity has been the practice all over to deal with the SARS COV2 virus infection!
Second, an editorial team can't make through any gossip that grossly compromises public health in time of a pandemic by demeaning the pandemic causing disease and diluting the gravity of it while whole world is struggling to overcome it.This certainly is not what a responsible media should do! Did the media house showed its accountability on this and on making public on its website the allegation of the government giving target to private facilities without verification and/or, at least, raising an editorial question over the allegation?
About persons arrested, who divulged the identity of the persons before police? Did the channel exercised its right to protect its sources and placed it in defence?
I believe, lacking grossly on responsibility and accountability and still seeking protection because we are from media has always made common people upset about media time and again. Such instances shouldn't be more frequent. Veterans like you should rather educate the media on its duties, responsibilities and accountabilities to avoid such situations.
