While wishing Uddhav, the first Chief Minister of Maharashtra from the Thackeray family, though not the first one from Shiv Sena best of luck I feel anxious about the Sena's ability to retain its original identity as the face of Hindutva that his father Bal Thackeray as the founder of the party so avowedly maintained and preserved. The new government formed by the conglomerate of three ideologically divergent parties in effect means by the parties that have shed their basic principles and policies and thus forsaking their identities solely for the sake of power. They should introspect whether this was what they promised to the people before the election and if not, does this act on their part not amount to betraying the people of the State ?
