I remember my experience (as a freshly qualified dentist) of applying for a job in AMRI in 1996. I was humiliated and insulted by the clerks in the office because I asked for a paper to write down the application (they said they had none and they wouldn't give me one if they had it). If that was the attitude they had towards medical professionals, one can only imagine their behaviour towards patients. And one can imagine the mindset of a hospital administration which permits such an attitude among its employees.
Also, the excuse that court appearances have to be dependent on the availability of lawyers from both plaintiffs and defendants is ridiculous. The court is not dependent on the whims of lawyers; its job is to set a date for a hearing, and if the lawyers are not available, the case will be heard without them. Anything else is deliberate wastage of time meant to wear the plaintiffs down.
