Stock market holiday: On account of the festival of colours, Holi 2023 celebrations across the country, the stock market will remain closed today, on March 7, 2023. As per official updates, both National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will stay closed for all trading activity today. 

For those unsure about March 8, 2023, it must be noted that as per the official updates from NSE and BSE, all trading activity on the Indian bourses will resume on Wednesday. While it is known that several places are also celebrating Holi 2023 on March 8, as per NSE and BSE, the festival of Holi is being observed today. 

According to the complete list of stock market holidays available on the official websites of the bourses, after today, the next stock market holiday is on March 30, 2023. This will be on account of Ram Navami, which will fall after the holy month of Navratri as per the Hindu calendar. 

All traders must also note that since today is a stock market holiday, there will be no action in the equity segment, equity derivates segment and even the SLB segment. In addition to this, today, the trading in currency derivates segment and interest rate derivates segment will also stay closed. 

As far as the commodity derivates segment and electronic gold receipts segment go, the stock market holiday today would only partially impact trading here. This means that trading will remain suspended only for the morning session but continue in the evening session.
