Microsoft Outlook Down Worldwide: Users Report Outage, Struggle To Access Email Accounts

When trying to access the email site, users are seeing black screens and an error messages that says, “Service Unavailable. HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable"

Microsoft Outlook is facing outage issues across the world, leaving millions of people unable to use the system. According to DownDetector, a site that monitors online outages, the problem started around 10:15 ET and mainly impacts Microsoft’s emailing service.

When trying to access the email site, users are seeing black screens and an error messages that says, “Service Unavailable. HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.”

According to DownDetector, more than 7,000 issue reports have been shared.

Outlook users are showing their outrage on Twitter about the issue. 

"We're investigating an issue with accessing Outlook on the web. Further details can be found under EX571516 in the admin center," the company wrote on Twitter.

The outage is also affecting those with the Outage desktop app.

"This is affecting Outlook desktop app users as well, as myself and my colleagues are having trouble opening emails from the server, opening outlook items or even the app itself!," a user wrote on Twitter. 

Microsoft Outlook has systems and processes designed for right communication. The million of companies which use Outlook for effective communication are facing difficulties to assign work to their employees. 
The outage kicked off a meme fest on Twitter and other social media platforms that how people can relax in the absence of the communication services. 

Microsoft services have witnesses three outages in this year so far. In February this year, there were over 2,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Microsoft Outlook, as per DownDetector. The data included reports from sources and user-submitted errors on the platform.
