Music maestro AR Rahman announced the launch of his new metaverse music platform called "Katraar" on Twitter. Rahman had recently entered the Web3 space to connect with his fans in the metaverse.

Rahman launched the project on Friday to celebrate his 56th birthday.

The world-famous musician stunned his millions of followers on Friday by announcing the impending debut of a new metaverse music platform called "Katraar" in honour of his 56th birthday.

Katraar is an online platform for upcoming artists, “with the power to transform the world”, he said in the tweet . “Katraar is another tradition. Katraar is a wise one. Katraar will survive. Katraar has an idea,” it said.

Musicians can post their creations on the portal and monetise them. Rahman will also post some of his works on the platform, which is installed on the Hedera Network of the HBAR Foundation.

The Oscar-winning music composer will work on NFTs in music, art, and storytelling spheres.

KoinX Introduces B2B2C-Based Crypto Tax Tool For Users

Indian crypto tax platform KoinX has announced the launch of a tax tool for professionals, a B2B2C-integrated service for crypto taxation and compliance.

It said the tool is expected to help chartered accountants (CAs) to reduce TAT (turnaround time) by 99 per cent, while increasing KoinX’s customer base by 400 per cent by 2023.

KoinX for Tax Professionals allows a CA to onboard clients and manage their cryptocurrency taxes on a dashboard, where they can see the value of their clients' portfolios and exchanges. In addition, the CAs can access KoinX's "Mastering Crypto tax series" and participate in live sessions with crypto tax experts.

“We hope Tax Professionals tool will enable the CA fraternity, and help plug crypto tax leakages in India,” KoinX founder and CEO Punit Agarwal said.

Crypto Market May Have Lost $3.9 billion In 2022

The crypto sector may have lost $3.9 billion in 2022, a report by Immunefi, a platform for bug bounties, and Web3 security services said on January 6.

The research states that hacks accounted for 95.6 per cent of the losses and the remaining 4.4 per cent to fraud, scams, and rug pulls. Decentralized finance (DeFi), saw losses of 80.5 per cent, while centralised finance (CeFi) segment lost 19.5 per cent of its value.
