Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to be discharged from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on December 28.
“FM Nirmala Sitharaman’s recovery is on track, and she is expected to be discharged from AIIMS tomorrow,” government sources said.
Sitharaman was admitted to AIIMS in New Delhi on Monday. Official sources had told Outlook Business that there was nothing serious about her condition. The minister was admitted to a private ward of AIIMS as she was reported to have suffered a stomach infection and had symptoms of viral fever.
The Finance Minister would be presenting the Union Budget 2023-24 on February 1, 2023.
