Cryptocurrency prices were trading in the red on Friday evening. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum (ETH) fell along with other altcoins. Today’s most trending crypto was Bitcoin, which is the world’s first cryptocurrency.

The global crypto market cap stood at $826.57 billion, down by 3.80 per cent, while the total crypto market volume decreased 11.36 per cent to $39.90 billion in the last 24 hours, according to data collected from Coinmarketcap.com at 5:00 pm IST.

Today’s top gainer was OKB. It was up by 3.87 per cent to $23.79. The top loser was Neutrino USD, which was trading at $13.53, having fallen by 13.53 per cent in the last 24 hours as of Friday evening.

Cryptocurrency Prices

Bitcoin: BTC fell 3.74 per cent to $17,026 in the last 24 hours. Its market cap stood at $327.50 billion. Its intraday low was $16,993. Later, its trading volume decreased 9.85 per cent to $23.28 billion.

Ethereum: The price of Ethereum was down by 5.78 per cent to $1,212 in the last 24 hours as of Friday evening. ETH’s market cap stood at $148.41 billion. Its trading volume decreased 15.05 per cent to $7.01 billion.

Other Altcoins: Solana’s (SOL) price was down by 4.48 per cent to $13.45 on December 16, 2022.

XRP fell 4.09 per cent to $0.3645, and its 24-hour trading volume was down by 1.84 per cent to $856.08 million.

Cardano (ADA) fell 4.89 per cent to $0.287. Cardano’s 24-hour trading volume increased by 17.37 per cent to $274.46 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin (DOGE) was down by 5.28 per cent to $0.08314. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 16.20 per cent to $485.90 million.

Shiba Inu was down by 2.84 per cent to $0.000008633.

Decentralised Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) was down by 6.68 per cent to $5,990. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 8.07 per cent to $15.78 million.

Avalanche (AVAX) fell 5.85 per cent to $12.70, while its 24-hour trading volume was down by 30.60 per cent to $152.38 million.

Aave (AAVE) was down by 6.36 per cent to $58.12, and its 24-hour trading volume was down by 16.97 per cent to $45.91 million.
