Crypto Market Falls, ETH Down By 2.64%, But Solana Up By 0.97% Amid Chaos

Cryptocurrency prices were trading in the red on Thursday evening. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum (ETH) fell along with other altcoins. Today’s most trending crypto was Bitcoin, which is the world’s first cryptocurrency.

The global crypto market cap stood at $860.09 billion, which was down by 1.34 per cent, even as the total crypto market volume increased by 0.02 per cent to $45.01 billion in the last 24 hours, according to data collected from Coinmarketcap.com at 5:00 pm IST.

Today’s top gainer was XDC Network. It was up by up by 9.27 per cent to $0.02469. The top loser was Neutrino USD, which was trading at $0.3686, having fallen by 18.14 per cent in the last 24 hours as of Thursday evening.

Cryptocurrency Prices

Bitcoin: BTC fell 0.64 per cent to $17,708 in the last 24 hours. Its market cap stood at $340.60 billion. Its intraday low was $17,642. Later, its trading volume increased 12.86 per cent to $25.95 billion.

Ethereum: The price of Ethereum was down by 2.64 per cent to $1,289 in the last 24 hours as of Thursday evening. ETH’s market cap stood at $157.84 billion. Its trading volume increased 6.62 per cent to $8.29 billion.

Other Altcoins: Solana’s (SOL) price was up by 0.97 per cent to $14.11 on December 15, 2022.

XRP fell 2.21 per cent to $0.3808, and its 24-hour trading volume was down by 11.50 per cent to $864.93 million.

Cardano (ADA) fell 2.84 per cent to $0.3016. Cardano’s 24-hour trading volume decreased by 18.81 per cent to $236.54 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin (DOGE) was down by 3.35 per cent to $0.08786. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 9.59 per cent to $579.38 million.

Shiba Inu was down by 2.70 per cent to $0.000008894.

Decentralised Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) was down by 0.86 per cent to $6,422. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 30.32 per cent to $17.27 million.

Avalanche (AVAX) fell 1.58 per cent to $13.54, while its 24-hour trading volume was down by 26.40 per cent to $217.51 million.

Aave (AAVE) was down by 0.20 per cent to $62.12, and its 24-hour trading volume was down by 12.98 per cent to $54.91 million.
