With Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman all set to present the Budget tomorrow, today, India’s Economic Survey 2023 will be released. Tabled every year as a part of the Budget, this year’s Economic Survey, like last year, will be tabled just a day ahead of the Budget presentation.
Interestingly, this Union Budget 2023-24 presentation may also be the last full presentation till the next general elections are conducted in 2024. Economic Survey 2023 – Where, When And How To Watch?
The Economic Survey 2023 will be tabled in the Parliament of the country today, on January 31, 2023. Starting at 11 am, this day is also considered as the first day of the Parliament’s Budget session and will begin with the President’s address. This time, Madam President Droupadi Murmu will be addressing the Parliament, following which Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to table this survey.
Following the tabling of the Economic Survey 2023, the Chief Economic Advisor of the country will hold a press conference around 2 pm. Through this conference, there will be an attempt to explain the finer nuances of the survey and also give more comprehensive updates about all that the document says.
Every year, the Economic Survey is prepared by the Department of Economic Affairs under the guidance of the Chief Economic Advisor. This comprehensive document will review the entire state of the Indian economy and also give forecasts on the road ahead for the GDP growth, inflation and other important economic indicators.
