BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer Steps Down From Role: Report

The official statement from BharatPe, as per the report, suggests that Suhail Sameer will transition and serve the role of the Strategic Advisor.

After multiple rumours of BharatPe’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) stepping down rocked the industry, a final word has reportedly come in. As per PTI, BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer has stepped down from the role at the company.

While the PTI report mentions that Suhail Sameer has ‘quit,’ it also adds that the soon-to-be former CEO has only left the C-suite office. The official statement from BharatPe, as per the report, suggests that Suhail Sameer will transition and serve the role of the Strategic Advisor.

Since BharatPe’s CEO position will now be empty, the company has said that Nalin Negi, the current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be appointed as the interim CEO of the fintech. 

In an official statement, as per the report, BharatPe has said, “He will transition from Chief Executive Officer to Strategic Advisor effective January 7, 2023......This will ensure a smooth transition for current CFO, Nalin Negi who has been appointed interim CEO to partner with senior executives to bolster execution in all phases of the company's business."
