The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Global Investors Summit 2023 is just a few weeks away. Ahead of the UPGIS, the state government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been preparing in full swing to give the state a new dimension of industrial and economic progress. As per official updates, some of the efforts have reaped fruits and the state has managed to get investment proposals worth almost Rs 7 lakh crore. 

The state’s representatives have also been travelling abroad to get their hands on a variety of investment proposals under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath. Since some teams have now come back with their hands full, the delegation has also met the Chief Minister and submitted a complete report of the tour. 

As per official updates, a complete report of the tour and proposed investment in three major countries of Europe, Germany, Belgium and Sweden, was handed over to CM Yogi Adityanath. During the meeting, the delegates also informed the CM that during most roadshows, several investors greeted them with enthusiasm and their willingness to invest for Uttar Pradesh’s economic progress was also evident. 

From Germany, Belgium and Sweden alike, UP’s representatives received investment proposals for defense, film city, medical devices, waste management, textiles and many other important sectors. To break it down, from Germany, proposals of about Rs 4,300 crore, about Rs 54,000 crore from Belgium and about Rs 18,840 crore from Sweden, were received. The state government’s delegates also paid a visit to the headquarters and manufacturing units of several companies, where they met entrepreneurs and NRIs alike – all for the Global Investors Summit 2023. 

As per ANI, the government, in an official statement also said that the team organised roadshows in 21 cities of 16 different countries during the course of their tour, ahead of the UPGIS 2023. The summit is scheduled to be held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh from February 10 to 12, 2023.
