Dr. Narendra Vaidya is the founder and managing director of Lokmanya Hospitals, which is the largest chain of Advanced Super Specialty Tertiary Care Hospitals with a major focus on Advanced Orthopedics in Western Maharashtra He pioneered Robotic Assisted Joint replacement surgery - the latest and the most sophisticated technology in Arthroplasty - in India. Dr. Vaidya is one of the leading surgeons in robotic-assisted surgery with 29+ years of experience in treating a huge number of patients with various orthopedic conditions. Some of the conditions include osteoarthritis, different joint problems, sports injuries, spine problems, complex trauma, and many more. He is an internationally acclaimed adult joint reconstruction surgeon with more than 28000 Joint replacement surgeries including primary and the most complex revision surgeries and deformity corrections and 7000+ robotic-assisted knee replacement surgeries which is one of the highest in the series. This has helped a huge number of patients who were living crippled lives due to severe pain.

Dr. Vaidya graduated with an MBBS degree in 1989 from the prestigious B. J. Medical College, Pune, with flying colors. In the year 1994, he did his Post Graduation in Orthopedic surgery where he topped all the surgical branches and was awarded the gold medal. He then continued his learning journey in India and abroad. He got extensively trained in advanced techniques in minimally invasive Spine surgeries and Joint replacement surgeries in the US, Sweden, and Germany in prestigious institutions from World renowned faculties. 

Dr. Vaidya carried out a substantial amount of research in orthopedics. He is also the principal investigator in many Global Research Projects. He is a well-known professor in the academic community and a renowned PG instructor for DNB orthopedic surgeons. Surgeons from many countries across the globe have completed fellowships under his guidance. With his expertise, he provides training to plenty of surgeons in robotic surgery and also newer advancements. As an eminent faculty, he has delivered 50+ presentations and 100+ talks at all National and International Orthopedic Conferences and Symposia. With a motive of educating and spreading awareness about advancements in Robotic surgery, as organizing chair Dr. Vaidya conducts International Symposium on Robotic Joint Replacement (ISRJR) which is one of its kind conferences, appreciated worldwide. This year the dates for the ISRJR are 26th to 28th May 2023. 

Dr. Vaidya has several accomplishments under his belt. He built an inclusive spine center in collaboration with Ryhov Hospital, Sweden. Touched by ever-increasing accidents, he supported the safe life initiative and introduced the golden hour project. He established a Comprehensive Emergency Medical System (Prevention through education and awareness, Early treatment, and Excellent ambulance connectivity to save lives, and rehabilitation), and nearly 300,000 patients are benefitted so far. Furthermore, he designed MTCCU (Mobile Trauma Critical Care Unit) with multiple patient carriers and rapid rescue units on two-wheelers with the vision to ensure the availability of an emergency treatment facility for everyone in difficult-to-access areas. Many prestigious awards like the Rashtriya Ratna award, Mahindra Navistar Award, Vishwa Vivek Puraskar, 100 Most healthcare leaders, Sanjivani puraskar, Maharashtra Health Icon Award, Ga Di Ma puraskar and many more have been bestowed on him for his exemplary work in the field of Orthopedics.
