As a breakthrough in the field of cloud intelligence for 3D animation and VFX media rendering, the B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, has been granted a patent for inventing “A method for acquiring Quality of Service and Quality of Experience of PaaS Cloud Renderfarm Services.” in 2023. Her work focused on addressing the challenges faced by freelancers, small scale and large 3D animation and VFX studios in evaluating and selecting the cloud renderfarms, which are used to provide high-performance computing services for fast and cost-effective rendering of complex 3D animations and simulations. However, one of the main challenges faced by cloud renderfarms is ensuring that the Quality of Service and Quality of Experience (QoS / QoE) provided to the end-users is of a high standard. This is particularly important for industries where a delay or interruption in rendering can have significant consequences. Dr. Ruby's method provides an innovative solution to this problem by using Artificial Intelligence techniques to acquire QoS / QoE of the PaaS Cloud Renderfarm Services.
