A singer sings countless songs in his career. It is, therefore, quite a difficult task for them to choose their favourite song out of the ones they have sung. Abhi Dutt is known to be a singer with a Midas touch. Every song sung by him has proved to be a massive hit. While he reminisces about the experience of singing each of the tracks he has sung fondly, there is one song that is very special to him.

Talking about this special song, he says, “While I value each of the songs I have sung, ‘Chand Naraz Hai’ will always hold a special place in my heart. When I heard ‘Kar Har Maidaan Fateh’ from Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju’, I had goosebumps. Even today, when I am feeling low, I listen to that track. I had this wish to collaborate with Vikram Montrose who had composed the song. Vikram and I finally got to collaborate on Chand Naraz Hai.”

The song has performed exceptionally well on audio streaming platforms as well.

“Chand Naraz Hai was completely different from anything Vikram had composed till then. He composed a melody keeping my style and range in mind. The Indian melody in the song is what clicked with the listeners. While the tune was beautiful, it was augmented by the wonderful lines written by Azeem Shirazi”, says Abhi.
