As per most exit polls, Uttarakhand seems poised to go to Congress, as does Manipur, with BJP taking Goa.
The CSDS exit poll also shows Punjab bucking the trend and the SAD+BJP alliance slightly ahead in the neck-and-neck race with the Congress.
The biggest surprise is the CSDS exit poll which gives a clear majority, indeed a landslide victory of 232-250 seats to the Samajwadi party out of 403 for UP. Other prominent exit polls (other than Headliens Today which also forecast 195 -210 seats) while showing SP to be the single largest party, stop just short of providing a majority.
