Seen Nike's video campaign 'Da Da Ding' promoting flashy and exorbitant shoes for women? Ever wondered about the thousands of working class and poor women living in rural India who have been doing all those fancy activities for a living-without shoes?

This video on Youtube plays on the contrast between the two.

The video called ‘The Other Da Da Ding’ shows the lives of women working in rural India. The montage runs parallel with the ones’ in the Nike video. The message is clear urban or rural women are breaking the glass ceiling.

“Dedicated to the women who have been doing it anyway for centuries without appreciation, without appreciation and that too in very difficult condition. Definitely without shoes that cost more than what they earn in a month,” reads the video description on Youtube.

The Nike video features Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone sweating through strenuous training and several women athletes including squash player Joshna Chinappa. It highlights the growing participation of women in sports, which is otherwise considered a man’s domain in India, according to Nike.
