Prime Minister Narendra Modi shard a lighter moment with Japanese ceremonial drummers, at the inauguration of the TCS Japan Technology and Cultural Academy, in Tokyo, Japan.

"Tried my hand at the drums today! Enjoyed the experience," the PM tweeted.

The tweet of course led to its own shares of jokes on Twitter:

While speaking at the same function, the PM asked the first batch of 48 Japanese youth headed to India for a six-eight week training stint at various TCS offices.

In April this year, TCS and Japan's Mitsubishi Corp announced a merger of their IT operations in Japan in a bid to create a new global-scale player in the Japanese IT industry.  TCS has a 51-percent stake in the new venture known as Tata Consultancy Services Japan.

"You are going as employees of TCS. But I want you to come back to Japan as ambassadors of India,"

"The 21st century is the century of knowledge and technology. I am sure all of you will gain knowledge by travelling in India."

Don't limit yout time in India to just classrooms and offices, he told them, but also to explore the rest of the country and of course sample the delights of Indian food:

"I can tell you that even if you stay in India for six months and want to enjoy a new dish daily, you will not have to repeat a single dish."
