24 engineering students from a college in Hyderabad and a tour operator were washed away in a flash flood in Beas river near Mandi in Himachal Pradesh on June 8 while they were on a holiday. The victims were caught unawares by the sudden discharge of water in the river from the Larji project reservoir.
Rescue teams have fished out six bodies so far and intensified the hunt for 19 others who are still missing.
Meanwhile, a footage evidently shot by locals has been doing the rounds, which is believed to be that of the mishap.
