Lost’ starring Yami Gautam in the lead role is all set to release on Zee5 on February 16. The film has been making a lot of noise ever since the trailer was released. The film showcases the actress in a never-seen-before avatar of an investigative crime journalist.

Talking about what attracted her towards the role of Vidhi in ‘Lost’, Yami Gautam says, “What attracted me would be the script, the way the character is written and how it seamlessly becomes a part of the narrative. Apart from the fact that she is today's modern girl and extremely passionate about her career, there's something very authentic about her appeal which helps the audience instantly identify with her.”

Adding to her character, she says, “Vidhi is honest and too good to be true in today's times. Someone who really believes in upholding the essence of the integrity of her profession and who often finds herself stuck in a space [a glimpse of which is in the promo] where there is truth on one side and deceit on the other. It sounds complex but there is a fine line between the two. And I love that.”

“As an actor, there's a lot for me to explore. ‘Lost’ is not just about a crime scene, the journalists or the investigation; it has much more to offer than usual crime thrillers. Hence, even the character and the performance should match the intrigue and bring out much more than that,” concludes Yami Gautam as she opens up about the differences in her character from what she has been usually playing in the past.
