Jr NTR On Reaching Hyderabad After Oscar Win: Want To Thank Every Indian For Celebrating ‘RRR’

Jr NTR and choreographer Prem Rakshith reached Hyderabad on March 15 after ‘RRR’ won Oscars for Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’.

At the prestigious Oscars 2023 awards ceremony, SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ made history by becoming the first-ever Indian film to win an Oscar for Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’. The track was even performed live on the stage by singers, Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.

Now a couple of days later, actor Jr NTR and choreographer Prem Rakshith have reached Hyderabad on March 15 from Los Angeles, as they bask in the glory of the Oscar win. The actor, while speaking to the reporters stationed outside the airport, said that he felt very proud after the ‘RRR’ Oscar win and even thanked every Indian for supporting them.

Being surrounded by fans and reporters, who congratulated him for the win, Jr. NTR said, "Seeing MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose accepting the Oscar was the best moment. I feel very proud of RRR. I want to thank every Indian for encouraging and celebrating ‘RRR’. This award that we have won is possible only with the love of the fans and the film industry.” He added, "If I have received this honour, it's because of my fans. This prestigious award has come because of the love and blessings of cine lovers and fans.”

Jr. NTR also revealed that immediately after the announcement of the award, he shared the happy news with his wife over a phone call, and added how excited he was to participate in the Oscar awards ceremony. "I will always remember the moment when Keeravani and Chandrabose received the award on stage. That was my best moment," the actor said.

Choreographer Prem Rakshith too added that MM Keeravaani hugged him after accepting the award. He said, "After accepting the award, Keeravaani sir and Chandrabose sir came out. Keeravaani sir hugged me. I cannot express how blessed I felt at that moment. I want to thank everyone for loving RRR and Naatu Naatu so much." 

SS Rajamouli's ‘RRR’ also stars Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Alison Doody, Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson and Samuthirakani.
