'Ferrari Ki Sawaari' actor Aditya Rawal, who plays the role of a tribal character named Sarju in the Sidharth Sengupta's web series 'Aar Ya Paar', has talked about how he prepared for the role.

The series revolves around the character Sarju played by Aditya Rawal, the protagonist and a tribal man, who excels in archery. It follows his fight for the survival of his tribe against the modern world, its corrupt politics and corporates.

He said: "Sarju, the character I play, belongs to a fictional isolated tribe, Degohaat. When his tribe is massacred by outsiders for commercial gain, he rises to defend his people and his home. 'Aar Ya Paar' tells the story of his fight and what he has to sacrifice to protect his own."

Talking about his preparations, Aditya said: "One of the draws of being an actor is that we get the opportunity to learn things we never would have had a chance to otherwise. I learned archery for the series and had a great time doing it.

"Our archery coach, Swapnil Parab, taught me to use the tribal bow (a basic bow without any trappings), a recurve bow (used in competitions like the Olympics) and the compound bow."

The series also features Patralekha, Sumeet Vyas, Ashish Vidyarthi, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Aasif Sheikh, Shilpa Shukla, Vaarun Bhagat, Nakul Sehdev and many others.

Sharing his working experience with his co-stars, he shared: Working with both Sumeet Vyas and Patralekha was wonderful. Sumeet sir was such an assured, calming presence both on and off set. While shooting the scenes that we are in together, he was incredibly generous and considerate. I learnt a lot while working with him and while spending time together after shoots."

"Patralekha is a lovely actor and an amazing person. Her honesty and clarity of thought is something I admire deeply. It is the one trait that I wish I had. We had a fabulous time shooting together, along with Dibyendu sir. Without our phones in the jungle, we had great conversations and bonded over our shared love for food," he concluded.

'Aar Ya Paar' will be steaming from December 30 on Disney+ Hotstar.
