FOR the first time since Peoples Democratic Party and Bharatiya Janata Party coalition government was formed, the PDP threatened the BJP of perilous consequences over the remarks of the BJP Minister that bullet is the only solution to Kashmiri protesters.

The PDP vice president and uncle of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Sartaj Madni, said that such disgusting utterances are not only unjustifiable but perilous as well.

“It is unbecoming of a senior Minister in the Government to dish out such a sweeping, sickening and intimidating statement.”

Earlier about stone throwing protests in Kashmir, Minister for Industries Chander Prakash Ganga had said that bullet is the only solution. “They are traitors, whether they have come from Pakistan or they live here. There is only one remedy and that is bullets. I talk straight and simple,” Ganga had said in Jammu.

The minister justified action of security forces against protesters displayed in the videos which have gone viral.

Madni said the Centre must address issues concerning J&K “with a sense of urgency, sincerity and seriousness by resuming the dialogue process not only with Pakistan but with all the stakeholders, within the State as well, including the separatists”.

Lashing out at the BJP leader, another PDP leader and a  close confidant of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Peerzada Mansoor described it as “provocative utterances. He said it smack of a larger conspiracy to keep the pot boiling in Kashmir.

“Such detestable remarks not only reflect the nauseous mentality of some extremist politicians in the State, but also expose the larger design of certain elements to provoke fresh trouble in Kashmir so that Kashmiris are pushed into perpetual educational and economic disempowerment,” Mansoor said.
