Kolkata Woman Finds Dead Lizard In McDonald's French Fries, Files FIR

She clicked pictures of the food and filed an FIR at the Phulbagan police station against the McDonald's outlet.

For Kolkata resident Priyanka Moitra, a visit to fast food chain Mc Donald's outlet turned into a nightmare after spotting a dead lizard in the food.

The incident took place on Tuesday when Moitra had gone to the outlet along with her daughter. The duo had ordered french fries. Just before taking her first bite, Moitra's daughter found the dead reptile and immediately alerted her mother, reported The Times of India.

Subsequently, Moitra, who is pregnant, called the manager and informed him about the presence of a dead lizard in their food, however, the latter did not take the matter seriously.

After getting no response from the McDonald's staff, Moitra decided to file a complaint with the police. She clicked pictures of the food and filed an FIR at the Phulbagan police station against the McDonald's outlet.

While speaking to ANI, Moitra said, "I am 6-months pregnant, what if my children or we ate the food with that fried lizard? Lot of negligence, have filed an FIR."

Responding to the case, Mc Donald's has said that it is concerned about the matter and has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter.
