Aamir Khan has refused to release Dangal in Pakistan after the country’s censor board demanded two scenes cut – one which shows Indian flag and another in which national anthem is played after Geeta Phogat wins gold—reported Hindustan Times.

The website reported that "Aamir — who is also the producer of the film — felt that the ‘demand for the two cuts was surprising, because the film isn’t jingoistic in nature’"

Cinemas in Pakistan lifted ban on Indian movies on December end, over two months after film exhibitors and theatre owners suspended it amidst Indo-Pak tensions following the Uri terror attack in September and cross-border firing incidents and ban on Pakistani artistes and technicians working in India.
