At least 8 people were killed and over 20 injured in an explosion that happened while making firecrackers at Bahabalpur in Balasore district, Odisha.
In separate incident, one died and three others were injured after fire broke out in a cracker shop located at a market in Odisha's Rourkela, which took place in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
The incident is believed to have taken places due to an incident of short circuit in a firecracker shop, but the police have not confirmed it yet.
