Woman Naxal Arrested in Chhattisgarh


A woman naxal carrying a reward of Rs 1.1 lakh on her head was today arrested by police in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh.

Shyambati alias Pramila (30) was held by a police team from Fafadih area here. She had come to Raipur for medical treatment.

According to the police, Pramila was part of urban network of ultras and it was suspected that she was in contact with senior naxalite leaders.

Police are on high alert following her arrest, in view of the approaching Independence Day.
