Two Women, Minor Girl Raped in Separate Incidents in UP


Two women and a minor girl were allegedly raped in separate incidents in the district, police said today. In the first incident, a 30-year-old woman was allegedly raped by two men from Muzaffarnagar when she came here to hunt for a house, police said today.

The two accused, Gaurav Tyagi and Yogesh Kumar, chased the woman on Wednesday and drugged her with sedatives, following which they raped her in Jafrabad area here. The woman was later thrown to an isolated area in Hapur, they said.

A case was registered against the accused after the woman lodged a complaint against the duo at Lalkurti Thana, police said, adding efforts are being made to arrest them.

In another incident, a woman from Nauchandri area here was allegedly raped by two men who came to her house on the pretext of meeting her husband on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The duo raped her at gunpoint after getting to know that she was alone at home, following which they made a video of her, they said.

Police is investigating the matter. In the third incident, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by the son of a village Pradhan at here Partapur town here.

The accused, identified as Ankit, entered the girl's house on Wednesday night while she was asleep and threatened to kill her if she raised an alarm.

The youth raped the girl, after which her brother and relatives rushed to the spot following which they caught hold of the accused and handed him over to the police.
