The signature of the Private Secretary to Sonia Gandhi in the National Advisory Council was faked in a letter sent to a Union Minister recently and the Delhi Police has now launched investigations into the forgery case.

The letterhead and signature of Dhiraj Srivastava, the Private Secretary to Gandhi in the NAC, used in a "recommendation letter" sent to Tribal Affairs Minister Kishore Chandra Deo recommending a person for the post of vice-president of a government body were found to be fake.

In his complaint to Delhi Police, Srivastava said he never wrote any letter to Deo and said his signature was forged.

Delhi Police sources said a FIR has been lodged and a case has been registered based on the complaint by Srivastava.

"Mr Srivastava said in his complaint that he never wrote such a letter. We have launched investigations into the case," a senior official said.

He said the Crime Branch is investigating the case and is looking into who would have forged the letter.

Can we have the list of all patronage/recommendation letters made by Supreme Leader Sonia Gandhi for the past 9 years (AND accepted/rejected) she has been super PMO/NAC chairman - a post which has NO constitutional validity but has a budget/power more than the PMO?
