A teenage girl from Satara district of Maharashtra, was allegedly raped by three different persons repeatedly for a over a fortnight after she landed here last month to meet her boyfriend.

All the three accused have been arrested.

According to senior PI H S Jadhav of Thane Railway Police, the minor had set out from her house in Wai on January 16, following a call from her boy friend who asked her to come to Dombivili. The girl travelled upto Swargate by bus and later reached Thane railway station at about 10 pm and tried to contact him.

Unable to reach him, she decided to stay at the railway station at night. Seeing the girl alone, one of the arrested accused Gopalkrishna Dashashree (27) from suburban Ghatkopar offered to help her and took her home, where he repeatedly raped her, the police official said.

The girl was handed over to another accused Rajendra Bhaskar Naidu (20) at suburban Govandi the next day, who also sexually abused her.

Later, the victim changed hands for the third time and reached Vishweshan Laxman Bendu (25) from Ghatkopar who gave her shelter and married her at the Saibaba Temple but subsequently abandoned her on February 7 at the Gateway after sexually assaulting her for days, the complaint with Thane police said.

The girl was sent home to Wai on February 10, police said.

All the three accused have been booked under Sections 363, 366 (a); 373 (d) and under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 sections 5(g),6, and 17.

In Nagpur, a woman filed a complaint of rape and cheating against a man and his family after they failed to turn up for the wedding scheduled for the couple, police said today.

Vijay Madan Pillay (30), an Army jawan, was in love with the 29-year-old woman, who is now five months' pregnant, and had allegedly maintained sexual relationship with her for the last five years while promising to marry her, police said.

Yesterday, the couple was scheduled to get married in the city, but the groom and his family did not turn up for the wedding ceremony.

The woman's family, residing in Gattigudam area of the city, tried to locate them, failing which they lodged a complaint against Vijay and his family at Sardar police station here.

Police said offences under relevant sections including rape and cheating were registered against Vijay and his family members.

Incidentally, Pillays had lodged a complaint with police two days back that the woman was already married and that they were cheated by her.


A 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by two persons including a cop, police said following which the duo were arrested today.

Police has arrested two persons, including one newly recruited police constable identified as Kulwinder Singh and his accomplice Kuldeep Singh, both residents of Sulchanwala village of the district for abduction and raping of a minor girl.

The accused abducted the minor girl from her house on Sunday night and after raping they dumped her near Hariewala village in Kotkapura area yesterday, police said.

The victim, a class IX student then informed about the incident to her parent who later approached the police and a case was registered against both the accused.

Police produced both the accused in the court of duty magistrate and they were remanded for three days police remand today.


An 18-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by two youths in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh.

"A case has been registered against Durgesh and Golu, the residents of Bandha village in Amarkantak area of Madhya Pradesh, for abducting and raping the girl, based on the complaint by her parents yesterday," Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Agrawal told PTI.

"The girl, who is also the resident of Bandha village, was kidnapped on January 7 by the two accused and brought to Bahpani village, around 150 kms away from her native place, where they sedated her and repeatedly raped her for three days," Agrawal said.

The duo also brutally beat up the girl before dumping her on the road near Bahpani village in Kabirdham district.

On seeing the injured girl on the road, villagers informed the police after which she was rushed to a hospital, he said.

A case was registered in this connection and has been forwarded to Amrakantak police of MP, he added.


A 14-year-old dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped by three youths in Haridwar district, about 50 kms from here.

The girl was alone at her Bhukkanpur village residence when three youths, Ankit Deshraj (17), Deepak (18) and Ankit Naresh (17) from the same village went to her place along with one of her acquaintance and raped the minor, Pathri SHO said.

"Medical examination of the victim confirmed rape and all three accused have been arrested and sent to jail today," he said.

The incident happened a week ago when the girl's mother had gone to attend a wedding leaving her alone at home, he said adding, the matter came to light when the victim's mother lodged a complaint with the police yesterday.

The girl's acquaintance Ravi, who was used by the accused to gain entry into her house, is still at large, he said.


A young girl's nose was chopped off by her jilted lover, who also made an unsuccessful attempt to rape her in Bihar's Kishanganj district, police said today.

The incident took place on Sunday when the youth finding the girl alone in her house here tried to rape her.

The girl resisted him and the youth in a fit of rage chopped off her nose with a sharp weapon, the police said.

The youth, who was in a relationship with the girl, was opposed by her family.

He was arrested after the incident and a local court sent him to jail, while the girl is under treatment for her wound.

Her mother had filed a complaint with the police a month ago that the girl was being pressurised by a neighbour to marry the youth.

The police had arrested the neighbour but the youth kept harassing the girl, the police said.


A woman has alleged that she was gang-raped by four persons including a factory owner and his brother in Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad.

The woman has claimed that she was gang-raped by the four on February 9. A case was registered against the accused yesterday, SSP City Shivshankar Yadav said today.

The woman has undergone medical examination and police are now are awaiting for her slide report to confirm rape.

Yadav said there were several missing links in the case and therefore they were probing into all angles.
